Do you want to take a stab at the McDonald Forest 50k foot race, but are intimidated by the lack of familiarity on the trails or of the distance? I can help. Four hours of training assistance specifically geared for preparing for this event. I will share my favorite training routes, nutrition information, and racing strategies.
Entry into the May 9th, 2015 McDonald Forest 50K trail run. This will be the 20th running of the Mac, a fundraiser for the Corvallis area high school cross country running and ski teams. Single track trails and logging roads in the OSU McDonald Forest. Very challenging course with at least 7,000 feet of elevation gain and scenic views of the Cascades, coast range, and Soap Creek Valley on a sunny day. Homemade vegan soup, a bluegrass band, and a party at the finish.
